About Us

Established as a faith-based, charitable 501 (c )3 organization in 1984 and opening to receive patients in 1985, Women’s Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada is currently celebrating three decades of service!  Our mission is to help save the lives of preborn babies by sharing the love of Jesus Christ through spiritual, physical, emotional and educational support to women facing unexpected pregnancies.

Statistics from the Center for Disease Control and the Alan Guttmacher Institute indicate that 93% of all abortions occur because of social or economic reasons and that 50% of women who have had an abortion in the past are more likely to have another. Since 1985 we have personally met with some of these women and we have found that the majority of them would not choose abortion if they simply had someone to assist them in their circumstance. The organization acts as a charity and is not a political entity. All of the services that we offer are free of charge to our patients (no insurance required). We do not discriminate in providing services because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sexual orientation or marital status. Our income sources are provided by individual gifts, organizations and events.

The staff and volunteers at Women’s Resource Centers are committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion only compounds human need rather than resolve it. We are committed to providing patients with accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and abortion. The Clincis’ staff and volunteers do not recommend, provide, or refer for abortion or abortifacients. In addition, the Women’s Resource Centers recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion.

We have 270 active volunteers who serve over 12,000 hours every year! One hundred and twenty of them have gone through our semester long training course that has been recognized by the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and in collaboration with Light University, our volunteer counselors received an official Certificate of Completion with an AACC endorsement.  In addition, we provide professional sonography training for our licensed Medical Volunteers through our partnership with Sonography Now, LLC in order to ensure the necessary skill set to scan our patients and to determine gestational age, and viability of their babies.
